Hi all, I hope to update this article soon with some information about Social Networking in a Crisis - but first I need to collect some data!
So if you have run a page (such as the Student Volunteer Army), where you’ve used Social Networking to keep people up to date, can you please email me the stats on info@hayato.co.nz.
If you know anyone who has a page, please send them this link too!

Instructions for Facebook Page Owners

  1. Go to http://www.facebook.com/insights
  2. Click “View Insights” next to the group
  3. Click “Export” in the top right
  4. Use the default “XLS”, but change the dates Start: 01-Sep-2010 and End: today’s date
  5. Click Download and email the file to info@hayato.co.nz

Was your website built specifically for the earthquake?
Visit http://www.facebook.com/insights and in the top-right click “Insights for your Website” and follow the instructions to modify your HTML headers.
Once it’s complete, follow the same instructions as above to export the statistics.
